Old Billingsgate Venue Photography

Old Billingsgate is a venue which needs to be seen to be believed when appreciating its position as one of the best large event venues in London.

My client hired me to photograph this venue which is located on the bank of the River Thames with the Shard opposite and killer views of Tower Bridge. Today’s event was a summer party and awards ceremony for a company with around 1800 people attending – so folks, this venue is HUMONGOUS!

Along with being obviously stunning, this venue is steeped in some pretty cool history. The building is Victorian and was once a humming market for corn, coal, iron, wine, salt, pottery, fish and miscellaneous goods. Old Billingsgate then became exclusively a fish market in the 16th century. Held to be the leading inland fish market in the country, Old Billingsgate has a long history and certainly an exciting future which I hope to be further part of for future shoots…
