Event Photography at Leicester’s Athena

This event was an event of firsts for me. It was the first time shooting for the Leicester Freemason’s and my first visit to the Leicester Athena as it is now – and what a building! This venue boast jaw-dropping Art Deco architecture which made it the perfect venue for such an iconic night for the client.

As hinted at, the evening was an incredibly special one to attend as it was the 300th Anniversary of the Leicester Freemason’s. Guests were treated to a drinks reception, a sumptuous 3-course meal and then evening entertainment in the form of a raffle and auction. They then hit the dance floor to a set from the ‘Upbeat Beatles’ a Beatles tribute act who had the dance floor filled for the remainder of the evening.

So what was once an Odeon Cinema in my childhood has now evolved into an architectural dream for the eye and I cannot wait to return. Definitely worth the visit!
